About a month ago we decided to list our house for sale with LJ Hooker. Our agent was the best real estate agent we have EVER dealt with. He is reliable, honest, amazingly helpful and kept us updated at all times during the process. Now apart from these great qualities, he sold our house at the first Open Home — on a weekday! He achieved an amazing result price wise, and so far the sale has been so smooth thanks to his experience. I didn't know such agents existed!
Recently I engaged the services of LJ Hooker. Of all the real estate agents I talked to, my agent offered the best all-round service and price. I guess her price was excellent, but that wasn’t the only thing I was taken by. During the sales process, I found her to be very helpful with her advice, very well organised and very punctual in her reports of the results of buyer interest. Also, I think one of the most important things when selling a house is knowing what potential buyers are thinking and your agent kept me well informed. She was happy to negotiate changes in the sales process when necessary and was very accommodating of the different demands placed on her by all parties.

We initially went online through realestate.com.au and found two properties we liked; one through LJ Hooker and one through another agency. We put in queries for both. We received a very prompt auto response and then follow-up from LJ Hooker to our query (nothing from the other agency I might add). We made an appointment for an inspection and we are moving in on 5th June. Our agent is one of those people who is not only friendly and approachable, but she is a real can-do person, a tremendous asset to your business. Nothing is too much trouble. In January 2009, we decided to purchase an investment property in the Palm Beach area. We had been looking at property for quite some time. We first met our agent when we viewed a property through LJ Hooker at Palm Beach. We found him to be most helpful with our initial enquiry and he presented as warm and friendly as well as very knowledgeable. This was a great help to us as we are from interstate and were not sure of the differences in buying property in Queensland.
My wife and I chose to upgrade our house in a declining market … sounds good in theory — sell for less, but on the flip side you buy bigger for less. We decided to list our place thinking it will take some time to sell as the whole market had slowed and some properties were on for more than six months. So thinking the worst, we listed, put an offer on another house [that was accepted] and opened our house for inspection. Before the first inspection, our LJ Hooker agent was on time every time, extremely helpful and did everything he said he would. Fantastic to deal with. It was the first time we’d sold a house and Rob’s knowledge and attitude made it all so easy; we always knew what was going to happen next. So we have our first inspection in a slow market. Once done our agent rang us to say he was finishing up and he was confident that he would have an offer or two by Monday. Me being skeptical with the current trends expected the offer, if any to be a low ball. Sure enough, 6:15 on the dot, he arrived to tell us the news. Not only did he have three offers for us on the table — ALL of them were within our price range … with the golden egg being more than our asking price and CASH. Needless to say we were over the moon; no hiccups, all done and dusted within one month of our first communications with LJ Hooker … got to be some kind of record I think!

I would just like to write a short email regarding your property manager. I recently purchased a property but cannot afford to live there just yet. I decided this would be a rental property as I assumed I would receive more rent than where I currently reside and was after about $750 per week conservatively. Since the first day when we entered the LJ Hooker office to obtain the paperwork for an application to rent, right through to our latest rental inspection, she has been fantastic to deal with. Our LJ Hooker agent is a very confident competent salesman who we had the good fortune to meet on the purchase of our house. We then choose him for the sale. He listed our property and gave us a list of things to do that would help us in the sale of the property. Not an easy thing to do!He was able to arrange inspections and Open Homes around a tenant who had fixed time schedules and young children. Not an easy thing to do! Once the tenant left he swung into top gear and was able to find a buyer. He negotiated an agreeable sales figure with both parties so the buyer could fly up for an inspection. Not an easy thing to do! The buyer duly signed the contract. But on the day we were to sign they withdrew, forcing us to relist the property. But our agent turned negatives into positives. Not an easy thing to do! He was able to find us another buyer and after some very hard negotiations we agreed on a sale price again. Not an easy thing to do! This sale was complicated by some title searches and building discrepancies that the buyer’s solicitors found. I believed the sale would have fallen through but he was able to negotiate the way through the difficulties to an unconditional contract. Not an easy thing to do! The sale was finally settled despite further difficulties with the bank.
