The Auction system of marketing and selling Real Estate is not a new innovation – in fact auctions have been a part of the Real Estate Industry’s culture for over 150 years with LJ Hooker leading the way since 1928.

However, what has changed substantially is the way Real Estate Auctions have evolved over time. Responding to the way consumers require business to be conducted and adapting to changing legislation,  LJ Hooker has moved into the 21st century with a totally transparent and consumer friendly process. We believe a well conducted Auction should provide an open and fair environment for both buyers and sellers.

LJ Hooker understands that the handling of an Auction requires a certain process  to be followed  whereby many strategic aspects must be covered throughout the course of an Auction marketing campaign in order to achieve a great result. This would mean that a seller has been given a well researched and recommended market appraisal and marketing campaign by an LJ Hooker Auction marketer which ensures all potential buyers are made aware of the property. Also of importance is the professional handling of each buyer and systems to provide accurate and regular feedback. Finally, of course, a professional and experienced LJ Hooker Auctioneer who conducts a quality, customer focussed Auction.

LJ Hooker has reviewed every aspect of the way we list and sell property under the auction system. We pride ourselves on new innovations to ensure our standing as the leading Real Estate organisation conducting auctions. Most importantly, our customers and clients need to know that they can transact Real Estate through the auction process in the most appropriate manner possible.

We have created 8 Auction Chapter Committees representing each State and Territory of Australia and New Zealand.  Members of these committees comprise elected Auction experts from within our network and are under the guidance of an International Auction Chapter President. One of the purposes of these committees is to provide a forum for Auctioneers and Auction marketers to meet on a regular basis. This vital link with the company serves to review latest trends, legislative requirements and establish strategies to better serve our customers and clients. An essential ingredient of these committees is to enhance our overall Auction knowledge, expertise and education standards of our Auctioneers and Auction marketers.

An on–going priority is to ensure LJ Hooker maintains the highest standard of Auctioneers within the industry. To help us with this objective, we have developed an Industry leading internal Auction “Idol” and Auction “Icon” competition for Auctioneers across Australia and New Zealand. These competitions have created a breeding ground for novice auctioneers to become trained into fully fledged professional LJ Hooker Auctioneers. For our existing experienced Auctioneers, the competition enhances their professionalism and expertise.

By encouraging the highest standards of operation, we are confident in keeping LJ Hooker at the forefront of Auctions. Accordingly, we have introduced an LJ Hooker Auction Accreditation program which recognises consistently great Auction achievements over a period of time. As we understand that Auctions are  a  process involving many facets for success, the Accreditation program recognises 3 categories of attainment – Auctioneers, Auction marketing and  Auction offices. By setting these high levels of attainment we are confident in providing the highest level of success out in the market place.

The Auction process is an accepted and proven method of selling and buying Real Estate.
