Adrienne Battersby

After 30 years in Northland as a Farmer, Teacher, Manager and Primary School Principal, passionately advocating for children and education, I decided upon a career change. With the support of my husband Warren and 2 daughters Emma and Teresa, in 2006 I moved back to self employment. I still sponsor clubs and schools.

This exciting change and challenge has proved to require very similar skills to those that are vital in my previous roles - excellent communication and management skills, multi-tasking and information transfer to the appropriate people. Combined with a knowledge of regulations, promotion and financial management, the transition has been swift and rewarding.

I enjoy meeting the variety of people with such vastly different needs and to deal with the diversity of exciting opportunities available when dealing with property. This makes every day an adventure. Ongoing reunions with friends, ex-students and past acquaintances as well as meeting new ones and being able to help them to fulfil their dreams, is wonderful.  Utilising the wide range of study options available to enhance my previous qualifications fuels my passion for the real estate industry. The support from, and interaction with a wide range of other professionals, adds value to my role.

My wee red Mini functions well as an office and a truck, transporting equipment and myself all over Whangarei. My family still manage to enjoy our home in the gorgeous Little Munro Bay and all of the environmental delights that the Whangarei Heads provides.
