The Mabel Binney Cottage, just west of Fairlie on State Highway 8, dates from about 1975 and presents many period items. The adjacent Vintage Machinery Museum houses old farm machinery, wagons and traction engines.
On the same site as the Mabel Binney Cottage is the old Fairlie Railway Station, moved there after the line was closed in 1968.
The Mt Dobson and Fox Peak skifields are a short drive away.
