LJ Hooker Ponsonby franchise owner Steven Glucina has reaffirmed his commitment to the LJ Hooker brand with the renewal of his franchise agreement. He is also expanding his footprint across Auckland’s northern corridor with the acquisition of LJ Hooker Warkworth, Kaiwaka and Leigh.
Glucina, who has been part of the LJ Hooker network for more than 21 years, said his decision reflects both his confidence in the brand’s direction and the strong opportunities emerging across the Rodney region.
“LJ Hooker as a brand has taken a real leap forward in the past year,” Glucina said. “Seeing the commitment from other franchise owners and the market opportunities ahead, there’s a lot of potential for LJ Hooker from Ponsonby to Warkworth and the surrounding areas.”
Well-known within Auckland’s real estate circles, Glucina has a strong track record across Orewa, Wairewa and the wider Rodney district. He said the northern expansion is a natural next step as more Aucklanders look beyond the city for a better lifestyle.
“There’s significant development taking place in and around Warkworth, and we’ve seen many of our Ponsonby clients make the move north or consider investment opportunities in the region,” he said.
Glucina said the new offices will benefit from the strength of the existing LJ Hooker sales teams in Warkworth, Kaiwaka and Leigh, who have long served the local community.
“We’re building on a strong foundation. With an expert team already in place, and the full backing of LJ Hooker’s national marketing and technology platforms, we’re in a great position to deliver even more value to our clients.”
While the additional offices will operate independently from LJ Hooker Ponsonby, Glucina said there will be close collaboration between the teams to enhance property exposure and buyer reach.
“This expansion allows us to work as one networked team, leveraging the marketing power of four strategic locations and the LJ Hooker brand to deliver exceptional reach for our clients across key Auckland and Rodney markets.”
“Steven’s expansion into Warkworth highlights his commitment to our trusted, community-minded real estate leadership,” LJ Hooker Head of Growth Jarita Rayasam said.
“It’s an exciting time for Steven, the team at LJ Hooker Warkworth, Kaiwaka and Leigh as well as the region We’re confident this office will build long-term success through collaboration, innovation and a client-first approach.”
The move continues a period of network growth for LJ Hooker across New Zealand, following the recent addition of Darren Brady with LJ Hooker Southern Partners, Pokeno and Taupo, and Renee Smith and Richard Thompson with the establishment of LJ Hooker Dunedin Property Management.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of LJ Hooker,” Glucina said. “There’s a renewed energy in the brand, and we’re proud to be part of its continued growth story.”
