LJ Hooker has wrapped up another successful Fieldays, marking the 29th year the brand has been present at the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural event and reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the rural and lifestyle property sectors.

This year’s Fieldays had one of the strongest turnouts in recent years, with a positive atmosphere across the four-day event and strong engagement from people exploring property opportunities across rural, lifestyle, commercial and residential markets.

LJ Hooker Head of Operation NZ Allaine Burkett said Fieldays continues to be an important opportunity to network with clients and engage with the public in a relaxed environment.

“Fieldays brings together the heart of regional New Zealand. It’s always energising to see the optimism and genuine interest from people who are thinking about their next move,” Burkett said.

“With more than 132,000 visitors through the gates this year, there was a real sense of momentum. For our teams, it’s a chance to have meaningful conversations, build trust and demonstrate the strength of the LJ Hooker network.”

She said the event’s success was underpinned by the effort of local LJ Hooker teams in the Waikato region.

“A huge amount of work goes into bringing our presence at Fieldays to life. It was fantastic to see the commitment from our local salespeople, as well as LJ Hooker Matamata’s Gavin Van Lierop and LJ Hooker Morrinsville’s Dave Young who played significant roles in organising the event, setting up the site and creating a welcoming space for visitors,” she said.

Van Lierop said the event delivered valuable connections with both existing clients and new contacts, while also providing a family-friendly experience at the stand.

“Fieldays was a standout this year. There was a great feel on site and a wide range of people stopping by to talk real estate,” Van Lierop said.

“We had the opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and meet plenty of new ones. The conversations covered everything from rural and lifestyle to residential and commercial property.”

It was also a valuable opportunity for rural salespeople from across the LJ Hooker network to come together, with team members travelling from the South Island, including salespeople from LJ Hooker Oamaru, to Mystery Creek for the national event.

“Fieldays isn’t just about the conversations we have with visitors, it’s also a chance to connect within our own network,” Van Lierop said.

“Having rural specialists up from the South Island meant we could share insights, swap ideas and learn from each other, which ultimately benefits our clients right across the country.”

LJ Hooker’s partnership with the Highland Cattle Society was a highlight for many families.

“Having Highland cattle on site, and giving kids the chance to brush them, created a great moment for families and brought a real hands-on rural experience to the LJ Hooker site. It was a great way to connect with the community,” he said.

Fieldays was also a time to showcase the latest LJ Hooker promotion across the Waikato where property owners have the chance to win a Suzuki Swift.

“The six LJ Hooker offices across the Waikato have come together to give our customers a chance to Win the Swift. We proudly got to showcase the new Suzuki Swift that is up for grabs at Fieldays,” Van Lierop said.

“It provides a great opportunity to engage with past clients as well as new clients who might be thinking about moving.”

Burkett said LJ Hooker’s long-standing presence at the event reflects the brand’s ongoing support for regional New Zealand.

“Returning for our 29th year at Fieldays is something we’re proud of. It’s a reminder that real estate isn’t just about property, it’s about people, communities and the industries that keep New Zealand moving,” she said.
